Terms of service
Terms and conditions
These terms apply to anyone who buys from, sells to, or uses batch17.com. By placing an order you agree to them. They are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
1. Who we are
Batch 17 is a trading name of BATCH17 LIMITED, company number 16968795, registered in England and Wales. Registered address: MediaCity, Manchester, England. Contact: batch17uk@gmail.com.
2. Products
We sell second-hand kitchen and catering equipment that has been inspected, cleaned, tested, and guaranteed by us. Every product description tells you what was replaced, what was cleaned, and what condition to expect. Every mixer is a genuine KitchenAid (or other branded unit) refurbished by Batch 17. We are not an authorised reseller of KitchenAid and we have no commercial relationship with KitchenAid.
3. Prices
Prices are in pounds sterling. Batch 17 is not currently VAT registered. Delivery is free within mainland UK on every mixer. Prices can change without notice, but once you have placed an order, the price shown at checkout is the price you pay.
4. Orders and contract
Your order is an offer to buy. Our acceptance happens when we send you the dispatch confirmation email — not when you receive the order confirmation. Before that point we can refuse an order for any reason, including pricing errors, stock errors, and suspicion of fraud.
5. Payment
We accept the payment methods shown at checkout: card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay, PayPal, Klarna, and ClearPay. Klarna and ClearPay are credit agreements with those providers and are subject to their own terms and eligibility checks.
6. Delivery
Free next-day delivery to UK mainland addresses. Highlands, Islands, and Northern Ireland: free 2–3 day Parcelforce. We do not ship outside the UK at this time. See the shipping policy for the full detail.
7. Returns
You have 14 days from delivery to return any mixer for a refund, for any reason. This is in addition to your statutory rights. See the returns policy for the full process and the legal position under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
8. Guarantee
Every mixer comes with the Batch 17 12-month guarantee. It is additional to, and does not affect, your statutory rights. See the warranty page for what is covered and what is not.
9. Selling to us
If you use the "Sell to Us" page to offer us a mixer, our quote is non-binding until we inspect the item on collection. We can revise the quote if the condition differs materially from what you described or photographed. You are free to refuse the revised quote and we will leave the mixer with you at no cost.
10. Website use
You can use this website to browse, buy, sell, and read. You must not scrape it commercially, attempt to break it, or use it to sell goods you do not own or have the right to sell.
11. Our liability
We are liable for the mixer itself and for any direct loss caused by our negligence up to the purchase price of the mixer. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss (lost business, lost baking, lost time). Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
12. Intellectual property
"Batch 17", our logo, and all original site content belong to us. "KitchenAid", "Hobart", "Ninja" and other brand names belong to their respective owners — we use them under the UK doctrine of first sale to describe genuine second-hand goods.
13. Changes
We can update these terms. The current version lives on this page with the date at the top. Material changes take effect 14 days after posting; minor changes take effect on posting.
14. Disputes
If something goes wrong, email batch17uk@gmail.com first — most issues resolve in one reply. If we cannot reach a resolution, the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
