The workshop
We rebuild every mixer before we sell it.
One workshop in the UK. One set of hands. Five steps. No flips, no polish-and-list. Here's exactly what we do.

Batch 17 is a small UK workshop that buys, restores, and re-sells KitchenAid stand mixers, Hobart commercial kit, and the odd espresso machine. We started on eBay, we still sell there, and this site is how we sell direct — faster shipping, clearer returns, better photos.
Every mixer on the site has been through our bench. Not flipped. Not polished-and-listed. Taken apart, cleaned, re-greased, tested for 48 hours, written up honestly.
I’m Jacob Putt. I started Batch 17 in 2025 out of MediaCity, Manchester, after years of buying and selling mixers on eBay. The site exists because I wanted to show the work properly — real photos, honest write-ups, and a guarantee I stand behind personally.
Every incoming mixer gets powered up, listened to, and rated against our grading scale. If it can't be brought back to working condition, we don't buy it.
Head off. Motor out. Gearbox open. We get inside every unit we sell — no exceptions. Photos go in a build log for each serial number.
Thirty years of flour and butter come out of the planetary. Every surface gets wiped, degreased, and the casing gets a re-polish where appropriate.
We re-grease the gearbox with the same spec KitchenAid uses from factory. We replace worm gears, pinion gears, and bearings where needed. Every unit gets a fresh whisk, beater, and dough hook unless the originals test as-new.
48-hour bake-in. Every mixer runs through a real dough test, a real whisk test, and a cold-start test before it earns a listing. PAT-tested and certified before dispatch.
