Warranty
The Batch 17 UK Consumer Rights
Every mixer sold by Batch 17 comes with a UK Consumer Rights from the date of delivery. It is handled by us, here in the UK. It is not KitchenAid's warranty and it is not passed on to anyone else. If something goes wrong, you deal with Jacob, not a call centre.
What it covers
- Motor failure. Seized bearings, failed windings, brush wear causing loss of power.
- Gearbox and transmission faults. Stripped gears, grease failure, planetary mechanism problems.
- Electrical faults. Internal wiring, switchgear, speed control.
- Structural faults. Hinge cracks, bowl-lift mechanism failure, head-locking faults.
- Attachments that came with the mixer. Beater, whisk, dough hook, bowl.
If any of the above fails under normal domestic use during the UK Consumer Rights, we will repair it, replace it, or refund it. Our choice, but explained in writing.
What it does not cover
- Accidental damage. Drops, knocks, spills, immersion in water, transport after delivery.
- Cosmetic wear. Fresh scratches, chips, or marks that appear after delivery.
- Commercial use. These are domestic stand mixers. Running a bakery on a 4.8L Artisan will shorten its life — that is not a warranty claim.
- Modifications. Third-party parts, attempted self-repair, or tampering with internal components voids the guarantee.
- Consumable parts subject to normal wear. Rubber feet, bowl finish marks from use, power cord kinks.
- Loss of use or consequential loss. We cover the mixer itself, not the cake you were going to bake.
How to claim
- Email hello@batch17.co.uk with your order number and a short description of the fault. A 10-second video helps us diagnose it faster.
- We will reply within one working day with next steps.
- If we need the mixer back, we book and pay for a DPD collection.
- We inspect, diagnose, and either repair it, send you a replacement, or refund you — usually within 10 working days of receipt.
- We ship the repaired or replacement mixer back on free next-day delivery.
You pay nothing at any stage of a valid claim.
Your statutory rights
This guarantee is offered in addition to your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and does not affect them. For the full statutory position, see the returns policy.
Transferability
The guarantee applies to the original purchaser at the delivery address on the order. If you sell the mixer on or move abroad, the guarantee does not follow the mixer to the next owner.
Honest note on KitchenAid's own warranty
KitchenAid's manufacturer warranty is issued to the original purchaser of a new unit. When a mixer is resold, that warranty does not pass on. That is true of every refurbished KitchenAid sold anywhere in the UK, not just ours. Our UK Consumer Rights is what replaces it.
