Refund policy
Returns
If the mixer is not right, send it back. You have 14 days, we pay for collection, and the refund goes back to your original payment method within 3 working days of the mixer arriving with us.
This sits on top of your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Nothing in this policy reduces those rights.
Your 14-day Batch 17 returns window
You have 14 calendar days from the day the mixer is delivered to tell us you want to return it. You do not need a reason. Email batch17uk@gmail.com with your order number and we will arrange a free DPD collection.
To qualify for a full refund, the mixer must come back:
- In the same condition it arrived in — clean, unused for baking, free of food residue.
- In the original Batch 17 packaging where possible. If the packaging is damaged or missing, tell us and we will send replacement packaging before collection.
- With every accessory that came with it — bowl, beater, whisk, dough hook, splash guard, cable, manual.
If the mixer comes back with obvious use, damage, or missing parts, we will deduct a proportionate amount from the refund and explain why in writing. We will not refuse a refund outright unless the mixer has been materially damaged or altered.
Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods sold in the UK must be:
- Of satisfactory quality — free from minor defects, safe, durable.
- Fit for purpose — they must do what a reasonable person expects a stand mixer to do.
- As described — they must match the description, the photographs, and the condition grade on the product page.
If a mixer fails any of these three tests, you are entitled to:
- A full refund within 30 days of delivery (short-term right to reject).
- A repair or replacement between 30 days and six months of delivery, after which we can deduct a fair amount for use.
- A price reduction or final refund if the repair or replacement is unsuccessful.
For the first six months after delivery, the law assumes any fault was present at the time of sale unless we can prove otherwise. In practice, this means we will arrange a free collection and either repair, replace, or refund without argument.
Your rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you have a statutory 14-day right to cancel any distance purchase. Our 14-day returns window matches this, but our policy goes further — we pay for collection and we do not require a reason.
How to return a mixer
- Email batch17uk@gmail.com with your order number and let us know you want to return.
- We book a free DPD collection, usually within 2–3 working days.
- Repack the mixer in the original carton. If it is missing, we send a new one.
- Leave the parcel somewhere the driver can collect it.
- Once the mixer is back with us and inspected, we refund the full amount to your original payment method within 3 working days.
What we cannot refund
- Mixers that have been damaged by misuse, drop, or immersion in water.
- Mixers returned outside the 14-day window where there is no fault.
- Personalised or engraved items (not currently offered).
