FAQ

FAQ

Short answers. If yours is not here, email hello@batch17.co.uk.

Condition grades

What do the condition grades mean?

We grade every mixer on a four-step scale: A, A-, B+, B. Grade A looks near-new. Grade B has honest kitchen wear but works like any other mixer we sell. The full scale is on our condition grades page, and the refurbishment report on each product page tells you exactly what the grade means for that specific unit.

Will the mixer look like the photos?

Yes. We photograph the exact unit you are buying, not a stock image. If you want more angles before ordering, email us and we will send them the same working day.

Delivery

How long does delivery take?

Order before 3pm Monday to Friday and your mixer is dispatched the same day on DPD next-day tracked. Scottish Highlands, Islands, and Northern Ireland take 2–3 working days on Parcelforce.

Is delivery really free?

Yes. Free UK next-day delivery on every mixer. No minimum, no threshold.

Do you ship outside the UK?

Not at the moment. Email us if you want a mixer shipped abroad and we will quote on a case-by-case basis.

Returns

What if I don't like it?

You have 14 days from delivery to return any mixer, for any reason. We book and pay for the DPD collection. The refund hits your original payment method within 3 working days of the mixer arriving back.

What if it arrives damaged?

Check the outer box before signing. If it looks crushed, sign as "damaged" and email us within 48 hours with photos. We will arrange a replacement or a full refund.

Warranty

How long is the warranty?

You have 30 days to reject under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015. It covers motor, gearbox, electrical, and structural faults under normal domestic use. Full terms on the warranty page.

Is the KitchenAid warranty still valid?

No — KitchenAid's manufacturer warranty is issued to the original buyer of a new unit and does not transfer on resale. Our UK Consumer Rights replaces it and is handled by us here in the UK.

Trade-in and selling

Can I trade my old KitchenAid in?

Yes. Fill in the "Sell to Us" form with photos and details. We quote within 24 hours. If you want to trade up rather than take cash, we deduct the agreed value from a new-to-you Batch 17 mixer and you pay the difference.

How much will you pay for my mixer?

Typical working Artisans sit in the £150–£220 range depending on colour, age, and condition. Commercial mixers are priced individually. We explain every offer in writing.

Payment

What payment methods do you accept?

Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay, PayPal, Klarna, and ClearPay. Klarna and ClearPay split the cost into interest-free instalments, subject to their eligibility checks.

Is Klarna available on every mixer?

Yes. Klarna and ClearPay are enabled on every product.

Accessories and attachments

Do the attachments come with the mixer?

Yes — every mixer ships with its bowl, flat beater, wire whisk, and dough hook, all cleaned and tested. The product page under "What's included" lists anything extra (splash guard, pouring shield, spare attachments).

Can I buy extra attachments separately?

Yes. We stock genuine KitchenAid flat beaters, wire whisks, dough hooks, and attachment sets. See the Attachments collection.

Safety and electrical

Are the mixers PAT tested?

Yes. Every mixer is PAT tested before it ships and comes with a pass certificate.

Have you opened the mixer up?

Yes. Every mixer is stripped, cleaned, re-greased, and bench-tested before listing. The refurbishment report on the product page is specific to that unit.

Us

Are you KitchenAid?

No. We are an independent UK business that buys, refurbishes, and resells genuine KitchenAid mixers. We are not affiliated with KitchenAid and we are not an authorised reseller. Every mixer is genuine — we just do not speak for the manufacturer.

Where are you based?

. The workshop is not a walk-in shop, but local collection can be arranged by appointment.
